Chattanooga, TN - Chattanooga, Tenn., based Food City, Inc., broke ground on a new retail development in Albertville, Alabama, anchored by the new "Food City" supermarket on Tuesday. Today, food city officials announced they are expanding to Alabama to join the Alberta retail community.
Food City offers a variety of services and amenities, ranging from flower boutiques to seating, food and beverages, to a full-service grocery store. Each location in Food City offers service and convenience, starting with Floral boutiques, staffed by designers seven days a week, located near or within walking distance of the nearest grocery stores, convenience stores and restaurants.

The criteria for qualifying for this service are that you have worked or are still working in agriculture or have been in agriculture for the last two years. The area, which now includes Albertville, was inhabited by Cherokee Indians until their expulsion to Oklahoma in the 1830s.
