The world's biggest sports event, the Summer Olympics, begins next week. More than 10,000 athletes from almost every country in the world will gather in Beijing, China, to compete in more than 300 events.

Narcotics Anonymous meets at 7 p.m. daily in 525 W. Grand Ave., Rainbow City (call 800-467-7314); at 6:30 p.m. Sundays and at 8:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays in a building at the corner of Second and Bay; and at noon and 7 p.m. daily in 1109 Baltimore Ave., Albertville.
